Boone Health is moving its coronavirus vaccination sites to Boone Medical Group primary care clinics.

Officials report that appointments are needed.

Boone County Reports Fourth Day in a Row of Double-Digit Coronavirus Cases Rise

The Columbia / Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services is reporting 18 new cases of COVID-19.

There are currently 70 active cases in the county.

The county now has a total reported number of COVID-19 cases of 18,673.

The county reported that the total number of cases removed from isolation is 18,486.

The hospital status of the health service remains in yellow.

The health department reports that three residents of Boone County are in hospital due to the coronavirus.

There are a total of 36 people hospitalized at a Boone County hospital due to the coronavirus.

The dashboard shows 10 COVID-19 patients in intensive care and one patient on a ventilator.

The Missouri State Coronavirus Vaccine Dashboard reports that 89,205 residents have received their first dose in Boone County and 78,784 residents in Boone County have completed their doses of the vaccine.

Boone County has the highest percentage of people in Mid-Missouri who have received at least one dose of the vaccine with 49.4%. The second closest to the state is St. Louis County with 47.6%.

Boone County is the first in the state with 43.7% of residents who have completed their doses of the coronavirus vaccine. St. Charles County is the second largest in the state with 40.6% of residents completing immunization doses.

Cole County has the second highest first vaccination rate in Mid-Missouri at 39.7%. Montgomery County is third at 35.8%.

Positivity rate exceeds 6% for first time in months

Missouri’s positivity rate topped 6% on Thursday, now standing at 6.1% for the first time since Feb.25.

The Missouri Department of Health and Seniors Services reported 482 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the state’s total to 517,509. In the past seven days, Missouri has seen an increase of 13 , 4% of cases.

The state also added 242 probable cases of virus antigen to the dashboard on Wednesday, bringing the total to 90,937.

Three new deaths were also added, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 9,227.

According to the State Vaccine Dashboard, 43.1% of Missourians received at least one dose of the vaccine and 36.9% completed the vaccination.

A total of 4,751,408 doses of vaccine were administered in Missouri.
